I have just installed version 1.1 but I cannot load my property profiles?

Sorry, but due to the way property profile management was written in version 1.1, the old file format is no longer compatible. We apologise for this inconvenience however, you should find the new Profile Management feature much more useful and flexible than it was.

I have just tried to print out one of the reports and I get a message saying that there was a problem with "COMDLG32.OCX".

COMDLG32.OCX is a system file and it is not installed by EZ-Rent. It may be that you are running an old version of Windows that uses a version of this file incompatible with EZ-Rent. To resolve this problem, follow the steps below.

Download a new copy of this library file. For differentiation, the file you will download is called COMCTL3N.DLL.
Back up your current copy of COMCTL32.DLL and copy the new version to the same file location. This file should be located in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory on your C: drive (for Windows NT, 2000, and Xp: \WINNT\system32).
Change the name of the newly downloaded file to "COMCTL32.DLL". Using your mouse, click on the "Start" button and then click on "Run".
Type the following command to register this library file: regsvr32 \windows\system\COMCTL32.DLL (for Windows NT and 2000: regsvr32 \WINNT\system32\COMCTL32.DLL)
You should see a message saying "DllRegisterServer ... succeeded"

If you are getting an error telling you that the file is missing, then you are not typing the command in correctly. You will need to type it in *exactly* as follows:

regsvr32 \windows\system\COMCTL32.DLL Or:
regsvr32 \WINNT\system32\COMCTL32.DLL (for Windows NT and 2000)

* Please note that there is a SPACE after "regsvr32" , and to avoid misspelling the command, please copy & paste the line you wish to run.

Download COMCTL3N.DLL now (right-click on the link and select "Save Target as...").
